The Brotherhood of St. Jue Tadeo

This Brotherhood maintains a strong devotion to St. Jude Tadeo as an advocate and as an example of apostolic life in the following of Jesus Christ. Devout people from all over the city flock to the monthly Mass on the 28th of each month at 7:00 pm in honor of St. Jude. The faithful prepare to celebrate the principal festival on October 28th each year, preparing a novena and triduum days before.

The Brotherhood of the Lord of Miracles

The Peruvian community promotes devotion to the Lord of Miracles and opens its doors to all Latinos who would like to honor the Lord of Miracles. It is told in the Temple with a special altar to give honor to the Lord of Miracles and have monthly Masses, novenas and its main party on October 20th to strengthen the bonds of the brotherhood.

The Brotherhood of New Man K’anjobal

The Mayan community and the Guatemalan community groups are active, they know how to join their artistic traditions such as dance, music and language with their faith experiences. They meet weekly to strengthen their faith and grow in the knowledge of the scriptures. They celebrate their festival on September 19th.

Brotherhood of the Lord of Esquipulas

The Guatemalan faithful united with other Parish groups promote devotion to the Lord of Esquipulas. This group supports the various Parish events to promote unity in the social and liturgical service of the Parish. His Festival is held on January 15th.

Minister Virgin of Juquila

The Oaxacan community honors the Blessed Virgin mary under the name of Virgen de Juquila and highlights the dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. This ministry works in the evangelization of families starting with the visit of the image of the virgin to different households and small communities and creating preparations for evangelization. The festival day is done by the Sunday closest to December 8th and are in charge of the monthly Mass on the second Sunday of the month at 12:00 noon with the Mass Oaxaqueña.

Association of Daughters of Mary

Maria’s daughters maintained via Marian devotion in the Parish remembering all the different titles of Mary. They are governed by the liturgical year to highlight the Marian dogmas and major invocations of Mary, the Dormition of Mary and Maria Reina de los Angeles.

Archdiocesan Adoration

It follows the regulations of the Archdiocese to watch in worship. Monthly on the fourth Saturday of the month, you have the monitors to the Blessed and the anniversary of the group of our Parish the 7th of September with the participation of all neighboring parishes to La Placita is performed.

I was ordained as a Priest in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Monterrey N. L. Mexico on August, 15th 1998, arriving at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles on August, 29th 2007.

I’ve served in different parishes: Santa Rosa de Lima, City of Maywood. Saint Alphonsus and Saint Francis of Assisi in East Los Angeles. Angel Guardian, in the City of Pacoima. In Saint Helena, South Gate City. In San Matías, Huntington Park City. The Holy Family, City of Wilmington. Our Lady of Guadalupe, City of Guadalupe. San Antonio, City of Oxnard. Santa Ines, Los Angeles.

Currently, I am at the Our Lady Queen of Los Angeles Parish since February 2021.

Thank God, I have carried out my Priestly Ministry with great joy, and I have always been willing to continue sowing the Word of God in every person’s heart.

I was born in Carreras, Durango, on August 20, 1957. I am the son of Jose Corral and Ascension Nevarez. My brothers are Hermelinda, Taurino and Feliciano.

My father emigrated to the United States in the 40’s and worked half a year in the fields of Sacramento and the other half of the year working on their plots. My Mother was a housewife and secretary of the Catholic Action for many years. I had the joy of celebrating the 73rd anniversary of my parents’ marriage.

1980 I graduated as an Industrial Engineer in Chemistry from the Durango Institute of Technology and labor in the industrial area of synthetic resins. Enter 1984 the Institute of the Comboni Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I studied philosophy at the Pontifical University of Mexico; novitiate in Sahuayo, Michoacan and finally the Master of Theology from the University of Innsbruck in Austria. 1995-2007 pastoral work in the Diocese of Mexicali, Baja California and was ordained priest on December 26, 1998 for the Diocese of Mexicali by the hands of Bishop Jose Isidro Guerrero Macias.

I was responsible for the Social Pastoral and Caritas of the Diocese and Pastor of the Parish of San Jose Obrero. 2007-2015 I am currently incardinated in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, I worked as a Pastor in the Parish of St. Thomas the Apostle in Los Angeles and now as Pastor of the Parish of Our Lady of Queen of Angels. Fuí ordenado Sacerdote en la Catedral de Nuestra Sra. de Guadalupe en Monterrey N. L. México en el mes de Agosto, día 15 del año 1998.
Llegue a esta Arquidiócesis en el mes de Agosto, día 29 del año 2007.

He trabajado en diferentes parroquias: Santa Rosa de Lima, Ciudad de Maywood. San Alfonso y San Francisco de Asís en el Este de Los Ángeles. Angel Guardian, en la Ciudad de Pacoima. Hoy en día me encuentro desde Febrero del 2021 al día de hoy en la parroquia Nuestra Señora Reina de Los Ángeles.

Gracias a Dios, he realizado mi Ministerio Sacerdotal con mucha alegría, y he estado siempre dispuesto a seguir sembrando la Palabra de Dios en cada corazón de las personas.

Nací en Carreras, Durango. Soy hijo de José Corral y Ascensión Nevárez de Corral. Mis hermanos son Hermelinda, Taurino y Feliciano.

Mi padre emigró a los Estados Unidos en los años 40’s y trabajó medio año en los campos de cultivo de Sacramento y el otro medio año trabajó en sus parcelas. Mi madre fue ama de casa y secretaria de la acción católica por muchos años. Tuve la dicha de celebrar el 73vo. aniversario de matrimonio de mis padres.

En 1980 Me titulé como Ingeniero Industrial en Química por el Instituto Tecnológico de Durango y laboré en el área industrial de resinas sintéticas.

En 1984 Ingresé al Instituto de los Misioneros Combonianos del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Estudié filosofía en la Universidad Pontificia de México; noviciado en Sahuayo, Michoacán y finalmente la maestría en teología en la Universidad de Innsbruck, en Austria.

De 1995-2007 Trabajé pastoralmente en la Diócesis de Mexicali, Baja California y fuí ordenado Sacerdote el 26 de diciembre de 1998 para la Diócesis de Mexicali por el Obispo José Isidro Guerrero Macías. Estuve a cargo de la Pastoral Social Caritas de la Diócesis y Párroco de la Parroquia de San José Obrero.

2007-2015 Actualmente estoy incardinado en la Arquidiócesis de los Ángeles, he trabajado como pastor en la Parroquia de Santo Tomas el Apóstol en los Ángeles y actualmente como Pastor de la Parroquia de Nuestra señora Reina de los Ángeles. Decano del Decanato 15.
